TRAINING PROGRAMS

The National Cricket Academy conducts various training programs at its premises for India ‘A’, Under-19 and Under-16 and Indian women's team.

The main aim of these camps is to help talented youngsters to develop their skills and fitness to face the challenges of modern day cricket.

The activities covered in these camps include:-

  • Skill development sessions through drills, net practice and match simulation activities.
  • Practice matches held periodically to develop game sense and tactical skills.
  • Physical fitness with conditioning sessions on the field being complemented with sessions in the gymnasium.
  • Mental skills and other ancillary skills such as Sports Nutrition, First-Aid, etc. addressed at interactive lectures.
  • Recovery after hard training sessions looked after by an expert in Yoga and a qualified sports massage therapist, and pool sessions.
  • Lectures by experts on Laws of the Game, Finance Management, handling the Media and Doping issues.
  • Motivational talks by leading sportsmen and inspirational films aimed at empowering the player in the long run.
  • Injury prevention.
  • Video analysis using latest softwares.

Such a comprehensive program offered at the Academy is vital to the growth and development of future champions who hope to don the national colours.
