Selection of trainees for the National Cricket Academy is based on performances at the Junior and Senior domestic tournaments.
Junior selectors of each Zone pick the boys for their respective zonal cricket academies. The zonal academy trainees compete for the Col. Hemu Adhikari Trophy. The National junior selectors select the best performers from this tournament for the NCA U-19 camp.
The trainees for the India 'A' camp are picked by the National Senior selection committee.
The NCA does not offer coaching nor professional services to members of the general public.
