Ajay Jha

Bihar born Ajay Jha, an Ex Indian Air Force Officer with fairly long experience in Sports Administration has joined NCA in June 2009.

Wg Cdr A K Jha VSM (Retd) served in the Indian Air Force as Commissioned Officer for 26 years.  He worked in the Intelligence Branch of I A F as an Aerial Photo Interpreter and Satellite Imagery Analyst.  He held many important posts in his long service. In addition to commendations by the Chief of Air Staff & the Air Officer Commanding –In-Chief, he was awarded Vishista Seva Medal (VSM) by the President of India for his meritorious service in the IAF during the IPKF operations in Sri Lanka.
 
Wg Cdr Jha has been a cricket player whose carrier spans almost 15 years from 1973 to 1987 during which he has played more than 55 Ranji Trophy, Duleep Trophy and Deodhar Trophy matches for Bihar,Services and North Zone.  He captained the Services Cricket Team for five years.  He has also been a National Level Golf Player and has represented Services in the National Championship.
 
Wg Cdr Jha served as the Secretary of the Services Sports Control Board (SSCB) for 4 years.  He was member of the BCCI Working Committee, Vice-President of Boxing Federation of India and Taekwondo Federation of India.  He has also been Manager of many Indian teams participating in International tournaments.  He was the IOA observer during the Asian Games at Busan, South Korea.
 
For the last six years Wg Cdr Jha has been working as the Executive Director of Jain Academy for Sporting Excellence.
